Quick question about fuel pump issue>?>?>

Ok to start off the car is a 1998 Z28. LS1 M6.

I just replaced my fuel pump, twice, because after the first time the gauge was not working properly. Put in second one and still nothing, hooked up the scan tool to adjust the needle to see if I could get it to move that way and still no luck. When the fuel pump went out it managed to burn up roughly 8 fuses, not entirely sure what all the fuses were just for the simple fact I do not remember but they are all replaced and everything else is working properly. Has anyone ever heard of this happening and if they know the remedy rather than having to get a whole new cluster?

I had a similar problem with a 1995 camaro and we never could get the fuel gauge to work right. Sounds like you have a short somewhere.....
