high fuel pressure

Default high fuel pressure

i have a cammed trans am and i installed some gauges in the car and when the car is running im running bout 73 psi of fuel i know this is high is their anything i can do to find out why it is so high

Get a second opinion (second gauge) do verify you actually have 73psi, Also check to see if it has a adjustable pressure reg, and maybee a kinked return line,

Where did you tap your system to get your pressure?

I tapped in the fuel rail i really don't think ls1 has a return line i could b wrong with that information n i was thinking of getting a different gauge to check the ones i have r new but u never know

sorry, lt guy here, well the only other thing I'd do is check how many volts your getting to your pump. I'm not sure but if your voltage is spiking maybe just maybe it's causing your pump to be superman.
