need help please...tank or pump leak
need help please...tank or pump leak Hey guys need your help asap please. I just picked up a 01 z last week has a few mods and also has a 255 racetronixs fuel pump with the hotwire kit. Assuming from what i read its the 99 model pump? The guy doesn't really remeber besides the 255 racetronixs part. Anyways it has dumped duals so i can see the tank and i just finished filling her up and brought her home and smelled pure gas so went to take a look under and noticed that the tank was wet under it like maybe it was seeping from the pump area? What's the chances the gasket isn't on right or that the tank has a hole? Anyone have this problem? Thanks guys want to get this fixed asap....please help
Not sure what answer you are looking for. If you have a leak, you need to find the source, most likely by dropping the tank.
Could be a gasket, a leaking line or a problem with the filler neck. I doubt the tank itself is leaking.
Remove the under tank shielding & rock the car to see if you can get some fuel to spill & then follow the wet spot.

thanks just got a email a bit ago from racetronix said almost positive its the sender gasket.. i siphoned all the fuel out and will drop the tank in a few days but after seeing it better i dont think its the tank..looks more from the pump or maybe neck but probally gasket
sorry for late reply..old owner didnt put the lock on all the way 
so after wasted money and time all good now or at least i think havent drove it in about 8 months
