Default A1000 and Eliminator e85 compatibility...

When did aeromotive start making these pumps alcohol compatible? I have the opportunity to buy a slightly used Eliminator, or a NIB A1000 local but the guy has them since spring '09...

Thanks

I talked to a guy at aeromotive today, I guess the second generation eliminator pumps will be fine with e85, which were made before Jan 09. Newest pumps should be fully alcohol compatible.

Basically any pump made after June of 2002 will work in alcohol/E85 but will have a lower HP rating. The new HP rated pumps didn't come around till late 06 early 07. We are always improving our pumps to offer the best bang for your buck.

All Aeromotive products have a date stamp on the bottom of the pump.

A pump with 0809 on the bottom would mean it was built August of 2009.

Hope this helps.

thanks for the clarification... i'm in between an a1000 and eliminator (650 motor, 200-300 dry) on e85 so the older eliminator will probably be perfect for me.
