1998 Fuel problems
My 1998 camaro ls1 running is running like ****. It only hold 20 -30psi of pressure. the guy i bought it from said he changed the whole fuel pump assembly. it all looks new. i changed the regulator when i bought the car and it ran fine. all of a sudden it started running like this. i can sit in the car and listen to the fuel pump whine. it gets loud and then quite like it working ti hard. im confused on what the hell to do. i was just thinking of just replacing the whole assembly. i found a 1999 assembly complete from racetonix for 100. but it only has 3 lines instead of the 4 lines that my car has.

The 98 setup and 99 are different. I'm not sure if you did the trap door mod or if you dropped the tank but if you did the trap door method pull the pump assembly out a tad so you can see the pump and lines and have someone prime the pump a few times and look to see if a line may be leaking.

Fuel tank reulator housing is probably bent causing the regulator to no have a solid fix equalling in the loss of pressure. That's just a guess but I'm having the same problem and have fixed everything then found out it was that. I can't find the part for the life of me though. I think I'll be doing the 99-02 plastic tank swap and I suggest you do the same. Gets rid of so many of our pos 98 model problems. Good luck and don't worry; I went to the track while having the fuel problem I didn't know about and went a 15.8 @ 94mph! Haha I even got beat by a 90 Honda hatch.
