injector installation checklist

injector installation checklist I'm getting my Procharged Yukon dyno tuned at MMS next friday. Before they start working on it, I need to swap out the stock injectors with my new 42 pounders. I'm gonna be doing it there myself before they open up. I just want to make sure I bring all the tools I need. How long do you think it will take to switch them out and can you guys check and make sure I have everything...
This is what I've figured so far:
1. Full ratchet set
2. Adj. wrench: to remove f/p gauge sender
3. Fuel line disconnect tool
4. Needle nose pliers
5. Masking tape: to mark wiring plugs
6. Oil: to lube the o-rings
7. Loctite
8. Rags
9. Step stool

I just put my stock ones back in on an 01 Silverado. The only tools I used were:
t20 torx bit with a driver (to unscrew the fuel rail crossover)
socket and extension to unbolt the fuel rails and wiring harness (I can't remember which size)
o-ring lube
I disconnected the injector wire clips, unbolted the fuel rails, disconnected the fuel rail crossover, and then worked the fuel rails out with the injectors still in them and swapped them out. The passenger side is really simple while the driver side has a bunch of wiring and the alternator in the way. Just make sure the driver side is fairly clean if you try to work the fuel rail out through all of that mess. It took me a couple of hours when I put the 44lbers in and it took me half that time to put the stock ones back in.

I unfortunately had to sell the Procharger to pay some bills. To make a long story short, my wife is between jobs. I found it much easier to install the injectors into the fuel rail first and then work them into the intake. I guess this is only easier if you're going to use the retaining clips. I've read of people not using the retaining clips, so it may be easier to put the injectors into the intake first on the driver's side????? The hardest part for me was pullling the old injectors out of the fuel rails. They didn't want to come out. Good luck and let me know if you have any more questions.
