Default Need to Replace Fuel Sending Unit, Will This Work?

So my Fuel Sending Unit is shot. Everything but my new racetronix 255lph does not work, so i have to replace it. I found a guy with a used one with 28k miles on it from a 2001 camaro ss. Will that fit into my 98 no problem? Or is there a difference between the 98 and 2001 fuel sending units?

The 98 is totally different & only a 98 will work correctly.

To be honest, its just what i was told was wrong with it when i was getting it dynoed. Can't be the fuel pump, theres just over 1k miles on that, so the sending unit assembly must be the problem. Turning the key into the on position, my fuel pressure goes to 30, then drops right back to 0 as soon as my fuel pump stops priming. While idling my fuel pressure was 30, and while accelerating on the dyno it dropped from 30 to 20. I was told the pressure should be WAY higher than 30 at all times, so if its not the fuel pump, must be the assembly right?

Likely a regulator or fuel line problem in the tank. No need to replace the whole thing.

Well, if I take the time to drop my tank again, I mind as well replace it all. It has 142k on it, so I'm sure it'll just keep having different issues until I get it all replaced
