Injector and Fuel Pressure Question Hey guys. I've got a 5.3 LM7 I just built and transplanted into a 92 full size chevy truck. Anyway, to make a long story short, I bought 60# injectors in anticipation of the turbo that will go on this truck LATER to push around 800HP at the crank. My problem is that I want to break this motor in naturally aspirated for the first couple thousand miles. So, can I drop the fuel pressure at my regulator to around 12 psi to utilize the capacity of the 60# injectors required to make 400 HP, or do the rails need 58 psi on them before it will run?
In other words, how can I adjust my fueling to provide just enough fuel for around 400 HP and still utilize my 60# injectors and do the rails actually have to have 55-60 psi of pressure to them?

I thought so. 12 is around what is required for a carbureted application or throttle body injection engine and would probably not even atomize the fuel. Well, anybody have a set of stock LS1 EV1-style injectors they wanna get rid of?
