Mass Air Flow Sensor?
Mass Air Flow Sensor? IS a new Maf from companies like Granatelli and the likes, WORTH IT?
What gains do you typically see on a stock 5.7 ls1 if you buy a modified maf?
What gains do you typically see on a HEADS/CAM LS1 if you buy a modified Maf?
is it WORTH buying a modified MAF or is it better to De-Screen a MAF or JUST LEAVE IT ALONE?
I never knew if it was worth it. All these years I heard to leave it alone. But lately (last year or so) I have been seeing people doing the Maf mod'.
Any advice, information would be greatly appreciated.

Leave it alone.
The aftermarket stuff is for the most part, junk, and simply tells the PCM you are injecting less air, so it adds less fuel, and leans you out to try to make power.Terrible way of doing things, IMO.
On a stock LS1, the stock MAF is not likely causing any restriction to airflow.
On a good H/C/I set up, going to an 85 MM MAF or larger, or eliminating the MAF is not a terrible idea.
