Fuel Pump/Fuel Question
Fuel Pump/Fuel Question The stock pump in my car went bad and I replaced it with a Walbro 255 and I put in a new fuel filter.
The car seems to be running fine, but I noticed it takes longer to start than it used to.
I was looking at some old threads about bad fuel pressure regulators, but I haven't noticed a fuel smell anywhere and the slower start has seemed consistent (cold, warm, hot starts). It also seems that priming it multiple times does not make it start any sooner.
Am I looking at a bad regulator, something electrical, or something else?
EDIT - It was a defective Walbro pump. Got another new one and it fixed the problems.

Considering your issue cropped up at the same time as installing the new pump, it could be a leaky check valve in the outlet of the new pump. You need to check your fuel pressure after you shut off the car and see if it starts bleeding off.
