Is Racetronix really plug-n-play?

Is Racetronix really plug-n-play? I'm looking at the instructions provided with my Racetronix harness and it talks about removing individual wires from terminals/connectors and replacing them with other wires. I've never heard of this until I actually received the instructions, so I'm wondering if this is a '98 thing only or are they all like this? I'm not faulting Racetronix, but to advertise it as plug-n-play isn't really accurate.
it hooks to the fuel pump.......and the alt......that makes the connectors plug n play.......but then you have to get the whole harness from the fuel pump to the alt.......not so plug n play
The whole idea is to make the kit as easy as possible to use without having to cut, solder & splice wires. This in my opinion is plug-n-play. Swapping a few wires is relatively easy & keeps the kits more economical over providing a more complicated interface harness.
