Fuel pressure drop with new pump
Fuel pressure drop with new pump Ok I just put in a new racetroniks pump hot wire kit and injectors in my 99 ta. And I'm have a huge fuel pressure drop at wot on motor. It's going from 58lbs to 35 on my gauge. A friend said it could be my regulator in the tank. Any suggestions?
Did you find anything? I'm having the same symptoms with a 1.5yr old Walbro 255. *edit nevermind, I just pulled mine and found that it is a stock replacement Delpi unit. Guess the stocker isn't up to the job for my car anymore. I just found it interesting that my fuel pressure was doing the same thing as yours.
Just installed a mechanical gauge and found that at WOT mine is going from about 59psi down to around 35psi when it reaches 6300rpm. Idles at 59psi, under normal load (up to 2000rpm) drops to 55psi, at half throttle (3000-up) drops to 45psi.
I'm using stock 28 lb injectors. My SES light popped on and showed P0131 and P0151, so that lead me to checking my fuel pressure.
