Default autometer or VDO LS1 tank fuel sensor

Hello LS1tech, This is my 1st post.

I am getting ready to put a plastic LS1 tank into my 89 Camaro along with Marshall SCX gauges. The problem is that the fuel gauge will not read the stock 33-240 ohm. The gauge reads as follows:

Marshal SCX gauge: 0-90, 240-33, 73-10, 20-150 and 0-30 Ohm
$40 autometer unit: 240-33
$40 VDO unit: 0-90
$130 GM 25319676: 0-90 (out of budget)

Has anyone actually installed one of these universal sending units in a plastic LS1 tank (Or just swapped the sensor)?

bump...
I really need to get this tank in. Dose anyone know if one of the aftermarket sending units will fit in the LS1 gas tank??

I was going to just bend the float arm the other way to correct the reading, but if I did that the EVAP will get a backward reading... would I not??

i don't know about a universal sender, but you can swap out the ls1 sender for a 0-90 ohms GM unit. basically plug and play.
