I had to do a rebuild on my engine so i finally got everything back in tonight and attached and now my fuel pump wont turn on. The fuses are all good. The car wont start at all it just cranks. What can cause this?

yeah, my friend hooked up the ground to the valve cover...idk why tomorrow im going there to attach it to the head. ill let you know if that resolves the problem.

 

I grounded it somewhere else and it resolved the issue and the car turns on. However, now im having an issue where the auto transmission will not shift out of park. The shifter will move in the car but will not actually shift the trans.
