Default tape in the gas tank???

I have always been a firm believer in soldering my connections..question is, is it safe to tape over my connections when i solder my wires for my walbro? should i just butt connect them. i didnt know whether the tape would "break down" after awhile in the gas

I would just use connectors. No tape. But then again I bought the racetronix set up so all the wiring was done for me
Just giving you a hard time, but I would leave the tape out

You are not alone, I bought an inline FP before I bought my racetronix set up so I hacked up my fuel lines when I could have just installed the racetronix from the get go and wouldn't have to worry about that stupid inline FP
But I swear I have seen a couple of write ups on here about this type of install. But you have to nail it with the "search" feature to find anything out.

Tape will dissolve in gas.
Nylon butt connectors or solder with TEFLON heatshink ONLY!
