Default Pics of my speed inc rails...

Yep they look like all the other pics that people have posted
Heres a few mocked up on my old LS1 intake that I had sitting in the garage.

Be sure to measure twice or three times when going to cut the braided hose for the rails, I ended up measuring once and cutting twice lol.

For those who haven't put together hoses like this before it's pretty straight foward, but here is page from the russel catalog to help out.

Hope that helps some of you who bought this kit.

Thanks, I'll have more pics/write up of what I am doing as soon as I get more pieces to my fuel system in. I usually try to have pics of everything so people can get an idea of what needs to be done or what direction to head.
We are all rookies sometimes. I am still learning about this fuel system, but with this site, it makes doing things ten times easier.

Hey Jer, Are you going to leave the other end of your rail capped off? Why? Why not put a fuel gauge port there so you can read right off the rail to see what your fuel pressure is.......... Im waiting on my damn fuel line and fittings to show up........
be sure to post more pics when ya get them...

No problem Yellowhammer, beautiful ZL1 there I see you got in on the GP too.

Yep, I am going to leave it capped off. I am either going to put my elec. FP sender into the gauge port on the aeromotive unit that I am trading the CAS in for. I think you have the same one. It has a port on the front right? And if there isn't enough room for that, I have an inline adapter from russel that it will hook into.
I am wait for more fittings too, I also might need to get more line. I always rush measuring stuff out and it always bites me in the A$$.

why not instead of capping it up runnig a separate line

I am going to run separate lines to each side of the fuel rail I dont want one side to go lean because it is the last to get the fuel and exspecially on the spray I dont want it to go BOOM

I'd like to put a fuel pressure gage on mine instead of the plug, anyone have an idea where I can get one?

Summit, Jegs, etc...all of the manufacturers have them...the one I bought was an Autometer (part # 2180) 1 1/2" dia, mechanical gauge with a silver face and red needle...reads from 0-100 psi...attaches with 1/8 NPT fitting:

I believe that you can get an install kit from Speed Inc. with the necessary hardware to tap into the stock fuel feed line...

smokin' joe,
NO problem...glad I could help. FWIW, I liked the looks of the Autometer best...it's available in black, white, and silver faces, but I know for sure that VDO and Summit also sell similar rail mount gauges...

Default Rails are on the car....

Installed them yesterday, with the help of my buddy Josh.
Here is a few pics

Crossover line is in the back.

Almost done at this point. I am just waiting on a couple more fittings. I had to order them from Jegs, because all the Hi performance shops around here don't stock ****

Pretty easy task. I also found that all my intake bolts had loosened up. Glad I read that post on the external board a few days back. So I took off the intake and put locktite on all the bolts and torqued them down to spec. Hopefully they won't loosen up again. Looks like swapping the injectors on the car will be a breeze with the speed inc rails if I need to do that again.

Man from those pics I need to cut down those long *** spark plug wires. I hate that they are so long and make the engine compartment look cluttered with the coil relocation brackets, instead of uncluttering it like they were suppose to do lol. I also need to hide some other wires and lines too

Almost finished up for those who are looking at this.
I got the returnline hooked into the stock feedline(which is now being used as a return)
Here is the piece I used to hook into the braided line and hook into the LS1 feedline

Here's how the return-into-stock LS1feed looks completed

I read on Aeromotive's site that the best place for the regulator is at the end of the rails so I put it there...

There is no clearance issues with it mounted there and it makes adjusting it real easy. No reaching down into the space between the fender and header or at the back of the rails. The -6an return line routes perfectly between the valvecover and injectors and right over the manifold into the LS1 feed line.
I am now waiting for a -6an plug for the reg. That's why the black tape is there (jegs forgot to ship it) and then it will be time to install the FP gauge sender.

lol, I orignally ordered the red anodized rails but they were on back order so I just got the polished ones for now. The local paintball place anodizes parts so I might take them over there when I have them off again.

I could only wish to have my engine compartment to look like that Thanks for the compliment.
BTW where are the wires at in that compartment? Thats outrageous, I can't even see sparkplug wires
I have a pic with no wires showing at all too

too bad it had to go back in

I need to do the !wire mod and loose the A.I.R stuff(it had been edited out anyway) and hack those long *** spark plug wires too. It never ends
