I have a 64 Chevelle with an LS1/T56 swap. I'm tryin to install a dual walbro pump setup in the tank, attached to the fuel pump/sending unit hanger. The problem is I cant fit the assembly through the hole in the tank. I dont have alot of room to work with up and down either as the distance between the bottom of the hanger and tank floor is about 6". Can I just lay the pumps in the bottom if the tank ? Has anybody else done that before ? Any ideas you guys can come up with will be greatly appreciated, thanx.
