Default Need help with fuel system setup

With the mods I have now I need some help with my fuel setup. My fuel system is completely stock right now, but I would think that I need to upgrade something. I need suggestions. My car is pretty much were I want it with the HP mods, maybe later I will add like a 100-150 shot. Some good advice would be very much appreciated.

You'll be fine with the pump and injectors you have now, for the power level you have now. Your 99 injectors are near their limit, but will still work. If you want to spray it, leave the injectors, and run a wet kit with a Walbro intank pump. If you want to spray dry nitrous you'll need bigger injectors.

Hey Chris, hows the 67 coming along? I was browsing around looking for new mods to do (I'm hooked like an addict) and read into the Walbro intank pump which spiked my curiousity about the fuel system. I was looking at those TSP stock 28lb injectors with fuel rails for $60 each. Do you think it is a good idea? I most undoubtly will get the intake pump and possibly do the access door mod. Do you think it wise to cut a hole in my car?

I wouldn't recommend cutting a hole in your car. I've done it before, but it was on a 98 Z automatic with 100K miles... low value car and low future value. I can get the tank out through the bottom in about an hour, its not that big a deal.

The 28 lbs injectors wouldnt hurt... your stock 99 injectors will do what you need them to for now...butif you want you could change to the 01+ injectors and your duty cycle will go down a few %.

67 runs good, I took it around the block Thursday night and woke all the neighbors

I am looking into some used 30lb Ford Injectors for $150, or some new ones for $220. I think these stock 26lb'ers could have contributed to the lean condition on the dyno a while back. If I get the 30lb'ers would I need to get that new fuel pump to push them? And if so a Walbro 255 or 340?

Oh yeah BTW Whistler, is Charlie still selling that setup with the fuel pump and Nitrous?

If your gonna do the nitrous dry or wet I would say get the new fuel pump. If you are doing a wet setup you can get away with less injector and more fuel pump. With a dry setup you may want to go with a fuel pump and bigger injectors than even the fms 30lbers.
