Default fuel pump wiring.

I recently did a walbroo 255 pump upgrade and now the car wont start. i have the black wire on the factory connector going to the black wire on the fuel pump wiring and the grey wire on the factory connector going to the red wire on the fuel pump connector. is this right? if so what else could be the problem?

Is yours an external pump?
Either way, you need battery & ground.
Does that connector you've plugged into have this?
For my (external) Walbro, I wired a separate line for battery, & wired the ground lead of the Walbro to the car frame.

it is the in-tank pump... i assume the wires coming off the pump are the positive and ground wires... they are the only 2 wires to the pump. and those the the wires i connected to the factory connector

Can you hear the pump priming after you turn the key?
