Default Need Confirmation on part of this project....

OK, starting on my fuel rail/adj FPR reg install.

On installing the adjustable fuel pressure regulator at the end of my rails, I need to remove the stock intank fuel pressure regulator right?
Thanks,
Jeremy

Yes it has to come out or you will have no control.

Thanks Nate
Just replace the unit with a piece of reinforced fuel injecton hose, metal barb connector and some clamps to get things clamped up right? I have all the pieces I think I will need, just need to get it out.

Gotta love this

This made removing the regulator an 30 min task. The only hold up was finding the same size rivets that I used before. Finally found some at Home Depot Racers supply.

Here is a duplicate of what I used to replace the regulator.....only with more clamps

I used a quick disconnect piece from Pep boys. I wanted 1/2 inch but they only had 3/8 so I made that work. I also got Fuel injection hose, rated for 100psi and not the other fuel line, is there a difference? I couldn't tell but hey the box says FI hose I also got some fuel injection clamps they seal up really good, but I still used a regular hose clamp on the accordion to brass quick disconnect fitting as the regular hose clamp was able to go "smaller" than the 3/8 FI hose clamp.

You can find all this at pepboys if anyone needs to do the same thing.
To those that have done it, see any probs doing it this way?
I'll be doing the fuel rail/adj FPR tomorrow since I got a late start on this today.
