Walbro 255 pump whine...
Walbro 255 pump whine... So I took my car for a drive around noon today, drove about 30-40 miles no problems at all. about 2 hours ago I start it up and my fuel pump is making a whining sound now. When I turn the key on and let it prime before I start the car, it will prime like normal then stop, but once I start the car its starts to make a whining sound and doesn't stop till I shut the car off.
I have been told these Walbro pumps are common to make a whine sound once the weather starts to get warmer, is this true or not? Or should I look into getting a new pump. Doesn't feel like I'm losing power or anything. Car only has 65k miles on it, so I'm sure the pump has less on it than that.
