Default New fuel pump question?

Okay I'm planning on getting a racetronix fuel pump for my car because my tuner said that the stock one wont be enough for my car should make 450-500 to the wheels. But anyways i don't want to spend the extra money on the hot-wire kit for the pump so could i just wire it into the battery with a switch? And if i did that what would happen if i forgot the switch one would the pump keep building and building pressure? And if thats the case is there a switch i could get to hood up to like the remote wire off if my stereo to kill the power to the switch when i turn the key off? thanks

Spend the extra money for the hot wire kit.
