installed a walbro 340 intank and now problems....

now the battery goes dead if I let the car sit for a couple of hours, even though the pump is not still running.

How is this possible? if the key is not on the "On" position shouldn't there be no power whatsoever past the relay and therefore inside the tank? I only swapped the pump, thats the only thign I messed with.
so how can my battery be draining now?

Pinched wire to the pump??On top of tank?

Like Slowhawk said just double check all your wiring.

I redid the wirring last night and let it sit for a few minutes and battery was dead already again. Jumped it and let it run for a while. I then disconnected the battery and let it sit over night and this morning I connected it back and it was dead

So I guess the battery decided to coincidentaly die at the same time
