Default Wiring External Fuel pump Questions...

I am wanting to wire up my Bosch 420L fuel pump using the wiring going to the stock fuel pump since my stock tank has been sumped.

I know the 2 purple wires on the inside go to the the sender for fuel level and the white and black wires are power and ground to the old stock pump.... but when they go into the bulkhead they change colors...

So my question is does anyone know wich wires i can use out of the stock harness to run my external pump?.... these are the colors
Purple..
Solid black...
Gray...
Black with white strip....

Can i cut the black and white wires out of the tank sinse there going to do nothing but sit in the tank and does the stock ground have to stay attached?
Am i going to have to run a new power, and accessories?? Who else has done this??
One more question... of the 4 tubes coming out of the tank only 2 are still used correct....? the stock breather wich is this one closest in this pic and the stock feed correct?

So the other 2 i just block off and im done... any pics would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks
Kyle

im not sure on blocking them or which ones (i have a 99 plastic)
but you need a feed (your sump), return (sump or top?), then breather, any others you should be able to block offf

for the power wires why not use a multi meter to make sure.

id leave the ground, if grounded to tank to avoid sparks or something.

Yeah thats what i thought... about feed, return, and breather... ill block the other one of..... The only problem is that everything is not hooked back up, up front and i dont want any sparks or anything..... i was just wondering how others did it since quite a few people are running external pumps.....
anyone????
Thanks

ok heres what I did, I ran a seperate power wire from the pump right to the + block and ran a relay and used the stock fuel pump wire as keyed power. I also installed a seperate on off switch, that aftermarket pump is going to drain alot of power when you just turn on the key.

Awsome... thanks guys... Now about the black lines running up to were the filler neck goes????? What all can i take out and what all has to stay....??? The charcoal box?? Can i ditch it now.......... The black vent tube with the white colored breather has to be attached to the breather i know and i am going to block off the other two ports..... so do any of the other black hoses have to stay... Do i have to worry about al lthe other things or just run the three ports like i want to do...
1. FEED out of Sump
2. Stock feedline as return nocked down to only one line with other blocked off
3. and breather for the tank

Is that right??
Thanks
