Default Intercooler necessary for if running e85-e98 fuel?

Is it necessary to run an intercooler on a 383 ls1 comp 8488 billet streetcar with limited track use, on an e85+ fuel? Would the iats sky rocket under approx 19lbs of boost? Any I really don't want to cut the nose or lose the crash bar for an a/a ic setup.
