Victor jr. Distribution problem?

Victor jr. Distribution problem? Hi guys I've been seeing people on here sayin that there is a problem with using an elbow that turns down into the victor style intake. I had a Buick gn for a few years and a company called RJC Racing developed an air distribution plate to fix the problems for the Buick. Just wondering if someone makes a distribution plate for the victor style intake? I know people have started putting deflectors inside the elbows to push more air to the front but is that really helping?

I like the look of the victor jr. Intake and want it on my build but don't want to take a chance of hurting the engine over how cool something looks.
