Fuel pressure problem.. stumble at accelaration I have a 1999 formula that is pretty much stock. I use it for my everyday driver. It idles fine and revs fine. But when I try to accelerate past half throttle it stumbles, hesitates and breaks up pretty bad. I Figured it was fuel related and did a pressure test. This is where I start to scratch my head. With the key forward the gauge only reads 10 psi. But when I turn the engine on the pressure shoots to 60 psi. This has got to be the regulator. My question though, is the regulator part of the fuel pump or a separate part in the tank? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks ollie, I think I'll take care of it over the weekend. question is should I just replace the regulator or swap the regulator and pump? The car is close to 140k now. I don't even hear the pump whine anymore when the key is turned forward.
