Default Fuel Rails?

Anyone ever use the 5.0 mustang fuel rails? I know Harlan uses the aeromotive 5.0 fuel rails but has anyone else? What all is involved in making em fit? Can I use any other breand 5.0 fuel rails asuming they have the same injector angle/spacing? What model years should I be looking for 5.0 wise to get the right rails?

They fit fine.

You will need to swap sides however, all that means is the little Aeromotive silk screen faces in instead of out.

You'll need to make some kind of mounts for them.

The injector angle and spacing is the same. Any rail for a 5.0 will work, i think it's 88 to 96?? Anything before the Mod-motor.

I used the "legs" from stock LS1 rails. Cut them off, drilled a hole in each one and a matching hole in the bottom edge of the rail. Tapped the rail, and bolted the "legs" to the rail.

I don't have a really good picture of it however. I can take one if you want.

Yeah a picture would be great if you could please. Also, do you know how much hp the stock hard lines can handle up to?

Yep, the Aeromotive 86-95 Mustang rails fit as long as you make new brackets to hold the rails down like Matt did. However, this will no longer be necessary since Aeromotive now has LS1 specific rails available. They were on display last weekend at the PRI trade show, and you should be able to order them VERY soon.

FWIW, we've seen several cars in the high 500's to the tires here with the stock fuel lines on LS1's. The trick is to make sure your pump can still supply pressure to the rail at that volumetric flow rate.

I was told tha you can use the 5.0 fuel rails as they have the proper spacing and angle but you may have to modify the tabs that hold them to the intake but should be fairly simple...
