Default fuel gauge issue

my fuel gauge goes crazy sometimes and dops below empty and makes the check gauges light come on,and then most of the time it works fine,i had it code scanned and it said it was a fuel sensor, where is it located and is it hard to change?

The sensor it self is not hard to change. How ever it is mounted on the fuel pump module in the tank. requires dropping the tank.
