Fuel Pump Whine

On my 02 z28 i believe my fuel pump has a loud whine after ignition. It is a consistent whine through idle and driving. The previous owner said it had a bigger fuel pump but either it has just developed the whine or I just have noticed it. :/ I have changed the fuel filter and added some lucus UCL in hopes of it helping but so far it has not changed. Ive owned the car about 2 weeks. Are bigger fuel pumps (im assuming aftermarket) known to whine? Or is my fuel pump going out? It cranks and seems to drive fine.

Any help is appreciated, thanks

most do make quite a bit more noise, especially if its a high flow.. just put some exhaust on lol

I have full exhaust headers offroad y pipe and a bullet muffler and I am still able to hear it inside and outside.

Ok figured out the previous owner did the trap door method and never covered the hole with anything so im guessing that is why I can hear it inside the car so well? Any ideas on the best way of covering it?

I did that mod on my car and covered it with some sheet metal
from Ace hardware. I didn't screw it on with sheetmetal screws
as suggested I used double sided tape.
