Default Removing the Vapor return line?

I dont like it. I want it gone. Those 2 lines on the drivers side that run to my intake. One is for fuel, and apparently the other one is for emissions? Can I remove it? I have no AIR or EGR, what needs to be disabled? Thanks!

Just remove the one end from the intake and the other end from the hard line and put vacuum caps over both spots.

I think it will set a code. purge evac solenoid or something like that. I just ripped all that garbage off and programmed it out. Make the engine bay look alot neater.

Any downside to doing this ? Im ready to yank that sh*t off right now before I reassemble everything. Should the evap be deleted 1st or will it hurt to remove it then have the local speedshop edit it out ?

Where do you start to remove it from. When installing the LSx intake, there isn't even a spot now for it, so I would like to remove it to, just dont know where to put a vacumm cap...

No their is no downside to doing this and it's fine if you pull it out first and then have the code deleted if it does set one. The evap line is right next to the feed line, just pull the evap line off where it connects to the hard line and cap the hard line off with a vacuum cap and since the LSX doesn't have a hook up for it, that's all you have to do.

Has anyone removed the hard line as well? I am just about to re-install the fuel lines and 1 would be easier than 2 to put back in...thanks.

The two lines, hoses what ever you want to call them that are running along the driver side strut are airpump and hood latch cable, nothing to do with fuel line. Yes, you can remove the large one and reroute the hood latch cable underneath the wheel well out of sight.

The two rubber hoses wrapped in silver heat tape connecting to the fuel rail are obviously fuel lines. You obviously can't remove those...

Cool, last question - what size fuel disconnect did you use, or better yet how did you remove it. My 3/8 fuel disconnect doesnt seem to release it. Perhaps Im not being persuasive enough

For clarification, the LSX does have provisions for the evap. What they no longer provide is a 'mounting bracket' for the evap.

You do use a 3/8 inch fuel disconnect tool. It does take some defenite persuasion. Make life easier on yourself and get the metal one if you have the plastic one.

Once the line and intake are capped, how does the vapor line vent ? Or does it ?

if you cap it you wont be able to fill up your gas tank when empty. been there dont that, you need a vent valve.
i got rid of everything to the tank (cept i left the line on should remove that sometime.)

if you cap it off you will have fill problems, i removed everything including the line under car, and just let it vent out of the soft line going to the top of the tank
