Bosch 044 pump as an intake pump??? Does anybody know if an External Bosch 044 fuel pump can be converted so as to fit as an Internal pump on a tank currently without an intank pump?
Is there a cradle/bracket of some type that can bought to attach the pump to and then lowered into a suitably modified tank?

An external pump can not be modified for internal use.

The 044 can be used in tank or external ( as indeed can many external pumps ). Do not listen to anyone who says otherwise.
But make sure the tank design is suitable for an in-tank pump with a built in collector/swirl around the pump to ensure it never runs dry due to fuel slosh.
