Default Ethanol resistant spray can coating?

I made some fuel sender plates for a custom hanger I made for my tank. But I made them out of bare steel and am going to be running e85.
I'm looking for a spray on paint/coating that will protect the steel plates from corroding with the ethanol.
I am looking into powder coating or zinc plating, but also maybe something I can do quicker or easier or cheaper.

I'm mostly looking for a cheaper alternative to powder coating.
Something that maybe comes in a spray can that won't deteriorate when in direct contact with ethanol(e85) fuel.
