A1000 Returnless System with Surge Tank.
Im in the process of fitting a D1SC procharger on a 2004 LS1 SS Holden Commodore, similar to your 2004 GTO. I've chosen an A1000 pump and reg, and have only come to learn of cavitaion/heat issues leading to pump failure. The car runs a returnless fuel system bypassing at the rear of the car.
Im running a stock in tank pump, feeding a 2lt undercar surge tank. The A1000 will be running -10 in and out, filtered of course, and a -8 return to the surge tank. Then -6 overlflow to the main tank, - 10 to feed twin -8 rails. Everything is oversized due to e85.
Reading alot of the issues with the a1000 include running the fuel back from the engine bay, does the pump generate enough heat to the fuel itself or is it a engine bay heat soak issue?
