Default Problem with Walbro 255

Working on my LS1/T56 swap into my 1971 Chevelle. I am using a Tanks Inc kit with a walbro 255 pump. I got the car started and it over the course of a week ran it for about 30 minutes then it quit and would not start. Figured out there was no fuel pressure. There was fuel in the tank. I changed the FPR/filter with no change. Called Tanks inc to find out what to do. Justin had me do a few things to rule out other problems. Came down to pump in a pan with minerals spirits and pump runs great but no flow.
Tanks is going to warranty the pump so no issues at all with them.
My question is: how sensitive are these pumps? Will they die if you happen to run low or out of gas?
Any comments on this are appreciated. Thanks in advance

The wiring was all good. Plumbing all good. Just bad luck with pump having no discharge.
