Deatschwerks vs Lonnies Double Pump
I am looking at both these fueling set ups. The single 340lph deatschwerks and a double pump assembly with a return line and regulator. 800+BHP forced induction is the goal.
I feel that the Deashwerks is too good to be true. The Lonnies costs an arm and a leg severly cramping my budget.
Fuel pressure is incredibly inportant when getting the fueling right during a tune. I am worried that it I am running at the edge of the single pumps capacity therefore always in danger of it leaning out during aggressive driving causing failure and possibly causing catastrophic engine damage.
It just feels too cheap.
Now Lonnies looks much more thought out. He explained that with his twin pump set up I would be running stock fuel pressure under normal light driving conditions then with his kits provided sensor and regulator it will recognize when running under boost and activate the secondary fuel pump increasing fuel pressure and flow rate. He claims it will help make it easier to achieve my desired AFR during the tuning. I feel like his kit is more professionally thought out.
I also try to follow OEM engineers and designers. They do use twin pumps in OEM ctsv's
and zr1's for a reason.
Some times cheap things come out more expensive in the long run.
