Default In Tank Pump Swap Instructions?

I had found a write up previously for doing a in tank fuel pump swap on a LT1 car.......but now it says the site is unavailable. I am trying to find another one that shows the cutout size dimensions for doing it with cutting out the panel in the rear hatch area. I do not plan on going from underneath.

anyone know of a similar site that shows a step by step on doing this?

Write up sounds good, but i get no pics when the page loads. Is this just something my computer is blocking?

Also, it says for 99+ fbodys...will this still be the same setup for my 98?

Check to see if you have software (AV or Pop-Up Stoppers) that are running..

The 98 had a metal gas tank.. i'm not sure if there are other differences.

On the 98s the hole needs to be cut towards the front. It is different for 99+.

I got the cutout done tonight.....now i just need to swap the pumps. I bought a setup from a vendor to the site....and i was told the install kit i got would make it a plug and play install for the wiring, but that is impossible from what i am seeing. going to call them tomorrow and see what is going on...maybe i got the wrong install kit. otherwise i will be cutting wires. I was really worried about cutting it out...hitting a fuel line or something...but afterward....it wasn't to bad really.

Ordered one today from dealer.......of course like everything i EVER go to buy for this car....nothing is stocked. I have yet to walk in there and walk out with a part i need until the next day. Po-dunk town dealers...........argh...

Also always a good idea to make sure the fuel lines are hooked up fully....learned that one the hard way.......how long does it take for a 255 to pump out a tank?!?!?

Wink

255 lph is 67 Gallons per hour. But who know what it flows at zero pressure.

Should be able to empty a 15 gallon tank in a lot less than ten minutes. That's worse gas mileage than I get.

Default High Pressure fuel line

Tip:

Pay heed to the instructions to use 'high pressure fuel line' and not the typical low pressure fuel line.

There is another thread on this forum as to what happens when you don't use the high pressure fuel line. Run a search for that thread.
