Do I need bigger injectors?
Do I need bigger injectors? Ok I just got my head/cam car set up and tuned. The parts are an older set od Absoulte Speed stage II LS1 heads, A custom cam 224/224/115.5 .558 lift. the car was tuned to a 12.5 A/F ratio and put down 407.1 rwhp, 371.7 rwtq thru SLP LT with cats and 2 mufflers.
My question is that doing some autotapping my injectors are at 22.92 ms@ 5182rpm which =98% dutycycle and 21.12ms@5867rpm which =103% dutycycle. Do I need to upsize the injectors? I have a set of ford SVO 30lb inj that I can install, but then it is back to CT (3hr drive) for a retune. I also would want to get the SVO's cleaned as I got them used.
I would like to keep the smaller injectors in the car to keep the gas mileage up, and not cost me for a retune.
also if I swap the inj here at home can I drive to CT ( 3hrs) with them before I get them tuned
I know if I want to run a dry N2O system the Inj must swap, I do have a TNT wet system I was thinking about useing for a 75 shot.
