Default ls pump question

hello, im running a 2006 6.0/4l65 on my 59 cadillac, i found a deal on a 98 camaro z28 pump, would i be able to use this pump for my application? im running the motor complete stock no mods.... or do i need to run a 2006 and up pump? please help

All it has to do is provide enough fuel at the rated pressure needed so yes it will work as long as you can get it mounted in the tank.

oh ok, thank you!! sorry i dont know anything about how the pump works as far as what the pump is rated and what the 2006 lq9 requires.... somone told me that it was supposed to be a 2005 and up fuel pump but idk

Yeah the motor doesn't car what pump it is only that it's gets it at the right pressure and the pump can keep up with the volume needed. There are also quite a few options for external pumps if getting that pump retrofitted into your old tank is to much trouble.
