Default LQ4 returnless fuel system question

I'm in the process of doing a LQ4 swap in to my 72 Chevelle. I know the LQ$ i am using, 2000 model yesr, uses a return line at the rail. My question is, can i use a corvette filter/regulator and just "cap" off the factory return feed at the rail? Maybe use a pressure gauge or some thing? Thanks!

You can cap it off with the right fitting. You just need to make sure its a fitting designed as a block-off, or one designed to screw a gauge into. Putting something like a vacuum cap and a hose clamp on it is asking for a fire.
