Default New fuel pump module

the one I picked up is a Delphi FG0154

I really dont wanna hack up a brand new assembly if I dont have to..

Start hacking.
Take lotsa pictures.
Post them here, in order of assembly.
Thank you.

Acquire a foot of SUBMERSIBLE fuel hose, and a pair of high quality crush to fit clamps first

yeah I need to get some more of that Racetronix plastic fuel tube so I can cut the existing stuff to get the current pump out.

What am I missing? That's the exact part for a `99 TA.... and I'm assuming your Z28. I just installed one just like this (DELPHI FG0092) in a 2000 Sierra. It was plug and play. There is no hacking involved. The fuel fittings on that are 1 3/8" and 2 5/16".

He has a center inlet Aeromotive stealth 340 that will be going inside the casket.

OP: I assume the Delphi has a pump inside the casket? You'll need to disconnect the fuel level sensor/sender, crappy plastic tubing (use the one that came with the Aeromotive when installing) and the pump's positive and negative harness. After those three items are removed you should be able to pull the assembly apart.
I can't remember, but I believe 4th gens have an inline inlet. The Aeromotive pumps we bought have the center inlet. You'll need to cut a new hole for the center inlet. Don't practice on the new casket... use the old one for a practice mock-up. After getting the old casket cut properly, measure your cuts and transfer the measurements to the new casket for cleaner, more precise cuts.

Look at the Aeromotive install sheet (http://aeromotiveinc.com/wp-content/...1141_11142.pdf) Need to be sure the vapor purge port is unobstructed to prevent poor purging.

I noticed that too and it's beyond me. I wonder if the increased size helps ensure adequate prime/flow?

Got the 340 in the assembly just now... was a bitch...

flex feed tube was made by Satan himself.. took forever to get it on....

also de-pinning the level sender wires was tedious....

but its all in and looks like I didnt touch it after I put it all back together..

I forgot to take pics... but its pretty straight forward.. (dont use the rubber fuel tube that came with the pump) get the plastic flex tube that Racetronix sells.

I did wait till I got my package from Racetronix today which consisted of a new fuel pump to sender harness (made it much easier since I only had to transfer over the sending unit wires), fuel tubes and 280 to 150 adapter harness.

I also took the regulator off and just put the little tan screen back in since I am going to a return style system.

Do you mind providing part numbers (besides Aeromotive pump)? I was thinking about getting the Racetronix Hotwire kit. Is that the harness you're talking about?

What's the issue with the rubber hose that came with the pump? Chrs1313 builds dual 450LPH Walbro pump setups using the rubber hose.
I'm nickel and diming myself. A few weeks ago a couple bucks wasn't an issue, but now my wife is prying and asking to see the total expenditures over the last 2 months for my project. I need to keep enough cash to build me a doghouse by the pond...

Its just more flexible and doesnt kink... I wanted to make it look more factory since the OEM hose is the same style..
