Injector size for Holley Dominator EFI Setup
Im thinking of running the holley 522-838 83lb low impedance injectors. Does anyone have much experience with their injectors. I was wanting to run them on my motor. Hopefully around 500hp crank and then up to 300shot of Nitrous. I was wanting to run a dry shot and this would be with e85. Would these injectors be stable enough with a low duty cylce while running on engine only?

I know they will work with the dominator setup. What I'm asking is, do people think they will be stable at low enough duty cycle for the engine at idle and part throttle. 83lb injectors would generally be overkill for this engine.

I've run the Bosch 220 lb injectors on the stock computer and they idled fine.
My daily has 80 lb injectors on the stock computer and you couldn't tell.
I'm kind of confused by your question. There are obviously people out there with much larger than 80 lb injectors. Do you not believe that their cars ever idle?

I know that you can make them idle, thats not my question. Im concerned bout the idle quality and not running pig rich. You can put too large of injectors on engines and it can be a pain in the butt to get the idle QUALITY tuned well. Seeing as a 500hp engine on E85 only needs about a 46lb injector, Im wondering if an 83lb injector (96lb @58psi) is going to be a total pain in the butt tuning when the duty cycle is being so low as there will not be much demand for fuel. Specifically the holley 83lb injectors. Im assuming that since they are low impedance they should be better controlled during really low pulse widths but I was hoping someone with some experience tuning them could chime in.

I've never used a combo of the dominator and low imp injectors. I always use high impedance injectors for everything. Like I said, I can get 220 highs to idle on a 5.3 with a stock computer, so I'm sure you can get them to idle.
E85 will make them act like a 65 lb injector anyway.
