Stand alone test stand
Stand alone test stand I built an engine test stand to check out the stand alone harnesses that I am building. The test engine is a 5.3 with a LS1 intake and all stock sensors and injectors. Engine will start but will not idle, runs extremely rich to the point that you have to roll the throttle open to get it to start. No codes present. I have swapped intakes and all sensors with known good ones, installed new plugs, wires and O2 sensors. Disconnected MAF, and TPS. Motor sounds good, you just have to run it at 2500 rpm's by hand. Fuel pressure is 68psi with motor running through Walbro 255 and a Corvette FPR. Is the high fuel pressure causing my problem or should I look elsewhere.

I like to see 40psi of pressure engine off. that is slightly less than factory (44~). This is for street cars, a lower pressure when possible will help the pump live longer and keep the fuel cooler. I only raise the pressure beyond that when necessary for WOT fueling.
Stock injector will probably see 1.5 to 2.2ms of fuel at idle pulsewidth.

Are the headers open? If so, where are the O2 sensors in relation to the end of the pipe?
