Fuel pump Questions ASAP?

My buddy who is a GM certified mechanic is installing my fuel pump in my car. He says that the pump wont fit. It is a Walbro 255 #Gss307. Is their any difference in the years for the pumps? I looked It up on walbro'swebsite and the say it is the same pump for 1985 to 2002. I dont know what to do. HELP!!!!

I think you need the 340.....plus it's not a direct bolt in unless your car is a 1998 and are using the Racetronic pnp. The 340 will fit with some mods....lots of folks using them on 1998 and up.
