Default Which fuel system setup?

I am putting together a forged shortblock and want to change up some of my fuel lines and move the regulator. I am trying to decide which way to run the lines. FWIW, I will so be switching my injectors to the Bosch 210's since I got a good deal on them from a buddy. I also have twin 450's in the tank.

Anyway, here is how I currently have it setup. It's -8 all the way up, crosses over, and returns through the stock feed line.

Here is how I am thinking about switching it up. This will be a -8 from pumps, through filter, to a -8 y-block, then run -8 to each rail from the rear, and -8 out the front to the regulator and back into the stock feed as the return. Would there be anything wrong with the -8's after the Y? It seems most will use a smaller line to rails.

With the built shortblock I would like to shoot for 900+rwhp with the billet S480 but dyno numbers are just that, numbers. I went 5.98 @ 119 last summer with the SBE and the fuel setup in the first picture. I ran it like that for 4 years and never hurt the SBE either. Granted I wasn't making as much power as I want to make this year though.

Any opinions on what would be best? I realize option #2 is going to cost quite a bit more but if it would be substantially safer for my new setup I have no problem spending the money.

Thanks!

After discussing it with some local high horsepower guys I think I am going to make the change since I am going to be redoing the feed line anyway and moving the regulator.

Its honestly not going to matter. Your biggest restriction is your return line. I'm surprised you are able to hold steady fuel pressure at idle trying to return dual 450s.

Should have mentioned one of the pumps is on a Hobbs. Will probably have the MS3Pro kick the second pump on this year though.

is it even possible to run deal 450s full time? -10 return would probably be needed correct? I run twin 255s currently full time with a -6 return.

I run dual 340s full time with a -8 return. I can lean out my deka 80s until the car shuts off, so I'm guessing I could go quite a bit bigger on pumps with -8 AN.

I bet it has more to do with the regulator here. I've seen some with a tiny 3/16 return hole and other with a 5/16 return hole

That said I've upgraded to a 4303 this year and it recommends -10 feed with -8 return. But I also upgraded to a magnafuel 2000hp regulator
