Question about throttle body sizing..
What are the symptoms if your throttle body is too big?
I would think the intake runners are the limitation but what else should I be thinking about for proper sizing.. ??
Haven't found anything that explains it ,, at least that sounds correct..

Mainly tip in issues with a large throttle body. Meaning if with a stock unit of 75mm you cruise at 10% throttle, the same amount of air will pass a 100mm throttle at say 4% throttle. This reduces the amount of area for speeding up and slowing down without being all jerky, plus the cruise control needs to work harder to maintain. It also comes into play when taking off, much less throttle is needed for the same acceleration and if you have a manual car flaring can happen when pedaling from a stop sign or the quick blip for a down shift
Now you can cam the throttle to slow it down, but in the end, if your motor can use a 75mm throttle body, and you bolt on a 100mm unit, once you get to 3/4 throttle nothing else will happen since the motor physically cannot suck anymore air in
In a turbo application i try to match intercooler piping and throttle body together
All engine dependent of course
