Fuel sensor not working cause issues?

Default Fuel sensor not working cause issues?
I'm in the middle of tuning a HCI car. Would the fuel level sensor not working cause any issues with fuel being sent. I switched to a racetronix pump and noticed my level sensor was worn down and sometimes it will send a reading but most of the time it won't.

Shouldn't make a difference. The information sent goes straight to the gauge.

Ok thanks, side question is the sensor in the v6 tanks the same as the LS1. ACdelco SK1077 is what I am looking at.

Part number: MU172 has fixed my sensor problem $10
