255 to small?

255 to small? So my car has been sitting for a while (4-5 years). And I have just swapped back to fi from a carb. And am not getting any fuel pressure.
You can hear the pump run and the gauge will read about 2 psi if that with the regulator all the way turned up. My thought is that the pump is too small for the new set up. I rigged it up with an adapter to try and get the car started and running n/a. It has a 255 fuel pump with 3/8 line up to the fire wall with an adapter to a -10an that y to two -8an to holley fuel rail then to a magnafuel regulator and the gauge on the regulator. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I would think that your low fuel pressure is due to the car sitting for so long and not that your pump is too small. If you are reading only 2psi at the rails when the pump is on, then you might need a new pump. Did you drain the old gas before you tried to run the car? First I would consider changing out the fuel filter, then the pump.
