Default New twin fuel pump setup!

Hey ive been running twin intank 255s for a lil while now. Ive since decided to run a diff setup. I have a custom sumped fuel cell from dbrods for the silverado platforms. I can run a single internal 255 in the sender for cruising and possibly run the twin aem 380s off a hobbs switch. But i think this would be to much work and aggravation.

So since my cell is sumped i thought of just running the 2 380s. One full time and one off the hobbs switch. The 380s accept a -10an on the suction side. My cell has welded -8 fittings. Would the -8 work? Possibly drill them out bigger.

I plan on adding a -8an Y after the pumps with a check valve on the 2nd pump, thin -10 feed to the rails. Also might just run 2 -8 feeds to each rail with a -6 return. To many diff ways of doing this lol.

Just asking which would be the best option or routing. Thanks.

Ok guys update. I finally have the twin 380s at the shop. I was gonna start ordering parts to plumb everything.

The thing im tryin to figure out, is what size suction line would these pumps need? My cell has -8an fittings welded in currently. Will they work? Or will i possibly need -10 suction?

Gonna run -8 outlets to a Y with -8 to the rail. Will one pump need a check valve added? Basicly for the second pump to not back feed. Second pump will come on with a hobbs switch.

EACH pump running -8 should be plenty. I would think with -8 outlets, -8 inlets should suffice. I doubt the outlets will be run at capacity combined, so you should be OK.

Thts what i thought, just wanted to make sure. Most setups tht are similar are using -10 or -12 sump side. If i can get by with -8 thts what ill run. Thinkin of running -8 return as well.
