Methanol Fuel Maintenance
We are starting the process of building a new mud truck, and going to throw my turbo ls in it. Current setup is holley EFI system, 6.0(lq4), .030 over, wiseco piston, rpm rods, holley hi ram intake, 75mm turbo,A2W intercooler, making around 10-12psi. With the new truck thinking of switching over to run methanol. I have been doing a lot of reading on it, and thinking of doing a belt driven pump with id2000s injectors. One of the main reasons thinking of making the switch is to help engine temps and air intake temps, in south Fl is hard to keep them under control when wanting to run for more then a couple minutes.
My question is what regular maintenance is involved when going to methanol. Figured need to flush all the lines and change oil after every event.
Any help would be great.
